World’s Most Beautiful Abandoned Places
Italian product manager and web designer Francesco Mugnai recently added a collection of images to his blog touting some of the most beautiful images of abandoned spots and modern ruins that he’d ever seen. The images Mugnai has captured come from empty castles, shuttered power plants, and dilapidated churches around the world. From a sunken yacht in Antarctica to a forever-closed amusement park in Japan, these images all make up a sort of anti-phoenix; rather than rising as new from the ashes, these husks remain preserved in decomposition, forcing viewers to confront the strange beauty of ruination.

Dragon Falls, Venezuela
Part of the Angel Falls located in Venezuela, Dragon Falls spans over 3,200 feet. It drops over the Auyantepui mountain in the Canaima National Park. It is a great wonder but if you are afraid of heights, just make sure you don’t look down!
Heaven’s Gate Mountain
China’s Tianmen Chan (known as “Heaven’s Gate Mountain”) is located south of the city of Zhangjiajie. In order to get to the top, there are two options. You can go in a cable car which just happens to be longest cable car ride in the world. You could also walk up 999 steps.
Niagara Falls
When most people think of Niagara Falls, few realize there are actually three waterfalls. They are a collective wall that straddles the boarder between Ontario, Canada and New York. The falls names are Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls.
